EMPLOYEE ASSISTANCE DEVELOPMENT SERVICE
The Coordinating Agency offers employers the opportunity to establish
and/or enhance an Employee Assistance Program by contracting
for the Agency's EAP development service.
This cost effective
activity includes all essential elements necessary to assist
the employer in meeting Federal Drug-Free Workplace (PL 100-690)
requirements. In addition we will work with those employers
who must comply with Department of Transportation regulations.
The program's services will aid the employer in addressing
the variety of issues that employees may bring to the workplace.
With an annual contract cost than is very reasonable, competitive
and addresses the issues of both full and part time employees,
an employer will receive:
| 1) |
Employer
policy development/review (EAP, Drug-Free Workplace, Substance
Abuse, Drug Testing and DOT Regulations - if applicable). |
| 2) |
Assistance
with implementation of internal procedures and practices. |
| 3) |
Assessment
and referral services for employees and immediate family
unlimited access to EAP Assessment Services as needed)
to include but not limited to issues related to substance
abuse, gambling, marital difficulties, family problems,
financial issues and emotional problems. |
| 4) |
Information/educational
presentations for employees to include access to appropriate
Audio/Visual components. |
| 5) |
Supervisor
training specific to job performance review and troubled
employees. |
| 6) |
Assistance
with development of informational displays/posters. |
| 7) |
Assistance
with "marketing" the EAP in your workplace. |
| 8) |

The value
of an effective EAP for the employee cannot be overstated.
When the problem is alcoholism or other chemical dependency,
a company's overall productivity can be seriously impacted in
lost job effectiveness alone. The Coordinating Agency's EAP development
service can help.
